IMAG (E) INE

IMAGINE THERE'S NO MORE
NOTHING TO PLEASE YOU I'M SURE
IMAGINE THERE'S JUST A LOT OF DUST
NO MORE HEROES TO TRUST

IMAGINE EVERY MORNING WITHOUT A SUN
JUST ANOTHER BORING DAY WITHOUT MUCH FUN
DOESN'T SEEM MUCH LIKE HEAVEN TO ME
WAKING UP TO ANOTHER DAY IN ETERNITY

HEARING THE RADIO TURNING ITSELF ON
JUST AN ALARM CLOCK SPEAKING IN A DIFFERENT TONGUE
THEY SAY THERE'S TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING FOR ALL OF US TO SING TOO MUCH OF A RUSH BRINGING IT ON HOME ON THE WING

EVERYONE LOOKING FOR A PLACE CALLED HOME
ALL WE ARE IS FLESH AND BONE YET STRONGER FOR BEING ALONE
ALL WE WANT IS THE KNOWLEDGE THAT WE CAN 'COME HOME'
ALL WE WANT IS THE TIME TO BE ALONE

ALL WE NEED IS WHAT WE WILL BEIMAGINE THE REALITY
THEY CALL INFINITY TIME IS TIMEAND IT'S FALLING FAST
JUST THE HOURS IN A LOOKING GLASS
SPEAKING IN TONGUES THAT HAVE NO CLASS

IMAGINING THAT WE'RE HERE TO THE LAST
WE'RE ALL LOOKING FOR THAT HIGHER PLANE
SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO CALL INSANE
HERE COME THE TEARS OF THE FALLING RAIN

IS THE SUN REALLY HIDING TO MAKE US COMPLAIN?
TOUCHING SOUNDS, WISDOM AT LAST
TOO LATE TO HOLD ANOTHER EVENING CLASS
JUST THE RHYTHM OF THE FALLING RAIN
AND THE SOUND OF THAT SILENT VOICE TRYING TO COMPLAIN
